Overview:

The Medical Technologist performs and interprets analysis on patient specimens using complex laboratory techniques. Provides medical staff with information to aid in patient diagnosis. Performs duties in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:

Medical Laboratory Technician

  • Education: Associate's degree in a major acceptable to a certification agency for MLT
  • Certification/Registration: MLT ASCP or equivalent

OR

Medical Technologist I

  • Associate degree with MLT certification & 3 years clinical experience
  • Approved Military Training (if applicable)

OR

Medical Technologist II

  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Certifications: MT or MLS (ASCP) or equivalent required
