Job summary

CoxHealth in Springfield, Missouri, seeks a dedicated MRI Technologist to operate MRI scanners and ensure high-quality imaging. You will interview patients, administer contrast safely, and document findings in line with MRI safety standards.

The ideal candidate holds ARRT Radiologic Technologist certification, MR specialization, and has 1 year of MRI experience or equivalent training. The role supports a rotating shift in a busy medical campus with comprehensive benefits and professional growth

Qualifications

• Graduate of ARRT accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• AR RT MR certification preferred.
• 1 year MRI experience or graduate MRI training program with registry eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI scanner(s) following MRI safety guidelines.
• Interview and screen patients for exam appropriateness and history.
• Administer intravenous contrast media and evaluate images for quality and diagnostic status.
• Explain MRI procedures to patients to ensure successful exams.

Job Summary

Operate Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanner(s) within all guidelines of MRI safety. Demonstrates a thorough understanding of MRI safety zones and practices all safety guidelines. Interview/screen patient for appropriateness of exam and patient history and documents such accurately. Explain MRI procedures to patient/family for ultimate success of exam. Administer appropriate contrast media intravenously and accurately evaluate images to ensure quality and diagnostic status of exam.

Education

• Required: Graduate of ARRT accredited program in Radiologic Technology
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Radiology Certification in ARRT MR

Experience

• Required: 1 year dedicated experience in MRI OR Graduate of an approved MRI training program and Registry Eligible
