Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking an MRI Technologist to operate MRI scanners in a high-quality clinical setting with strict adherence to MRI safety standards. You will interview patients, explain procedures, administer contrast, and ensure image quality for accurate diagnoses.

• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Radiology with ARRT MR certification.

Job Summary Operate Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanner(s) within all guidelines of MRI safety. Demonstrates a thorough understanding of MRI safety zones and practices all safety guidelines. Interview/screen patient for appropriateness of exam and patient history and documents such accurately. Explain MRI procedures to patient/family for ultimate success of exam. Administer appropriate contrast media intravenously and accurately evaluate images to ensure quality and diagnostic status of exam.

Education

• Required: Graduate of ARRT accredited program in Radiologic Technology OR Graduate of ARRT accredited program in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (primary pathway) with ARRT-MR certification
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Radiology Certification in ARRT MR

Experience

• Required: 1 year dedicated experience in MRI or Graduate of an approved MRI training program and Registry Eligible
