Job summary

MTM Staffing, brought to you by Southcoast Physician's Group, is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for our in-house traveler team at Charlton Memorial Hospital, Fall River, MA. Assignment details include 11-13 weeks with possible extension; full-time or part-time hours; evening shift from 2:30pm to 11pm with rotation.

May float to other Southcoast hospitals. Requirements include completion of an accredited radiologic program and ARRT/ARMRIT or CAMRT primary certification, BLS, and at least

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or Radiation Therapy.
• ARRT/ARMRIT or CAMRT primary certification OR completion of an accredited MRI program with ARRT/ARMRIT/CAMRT.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diversified clinical patient care and imaging procedures.
• Assist physicians in procedures and ensure patient safety.
• Follow MR safety and ALARA principles; educate patients for exams.

• 11-13 Week Assignment, with option to extend for 1 additional 13 week assignment if available
• $80/hr

Position Assignment Details:

• Hours: Full Time or Part Time
• Shifts: Evening Shift 2:30pm-11pm with every 6th weekend and weeknight on-call rotation
• Area Assignment: MRI- Charlton Memorial Hospital, Fall River, MA

Under the general supervision and direction of the Manager, Radiology Clinical Services or designee, perform diversified clinical patient care, technical and related duties within assigned modality as part of an interdisciplinary care team. Assume responsibility for each assigned patient, perform patient assessments, and correlate clinical findings with exam/procedure request. Obtain pertinent information from patient's chart and document all data within the EHR. Educate patient for exam. Position patient and select appropriate imaging equipment and supplies. Identify, prepare and/or administer pharmaceuticals related to the exam/procedure. Select technical factors/ parameters/sequences to produce quality images. Properly identify anatomy and evaluate images for technical quality. Apply the principles of MR safety to minimize risk to patient, self and others and aware of the principles of ALARA. Assist physicians in performing procedures.

• Successful completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or Radiation Therapy.
• Attainment of post-primary certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) or the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) - OR - the successful completion of an accredited program in Magnetic Resonance Imaging and attainment of primary certification from the ARRT, ARMRIT, or CAMRT.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
• Must have a minimum of one year of MRI experience.
• Ability to efficiently float to other like-units for patient assignments is required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
