Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI examinations in alignment with physician orders and safety standards. You will educate patients on MRI procedures, ensure correct imaging protocols are applied, monitor for adverse reactions to contrast, and document results in EMR/PACS while prioritizing patient safety and comfort.

Required ARMRIT or RT(MR) certification, associate degree preferred, and strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability to shift

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• ARMRIT or RT(MR) certification required (or equivalent).
• Experience with MRI procedures and safety standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use.
• Educates patients about MRI procedures and safety precautions.
• Positions patients and applies appropriate immobilization techniques.
• Prepares and administers IV contrast following safety guidelines.
• Performs daily QC checks and documents findings.
• Follows patient identification, consent, and time-out procedures.
• Documents in EMR and PACS systems and maintains records.
• Performs high-quality MRI exams according to orders and protocols.
• Reviews history to confirm exam appropriateness and contraindications.
• Screens for MRI safety per facility policy and current standards.
