Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an MRI Technologist for Skokie Hospital. The role is registry/PRN with varying hours, supporting MRI imaging for patient care.

Qualified candidates hold ARRT licensure with a radiology certification or associate degree, CPR, and MRI experience. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are essential to help patients and families through procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI exams for physicians' diagnoses and treatment in line with standards.
• Prepare patients: take history, explain procedures, position and comfort.
• Review MRI images to ensure optimum quality.
• Assist with post-procedural care and patient/family information.

Job description

Hourly Pay Range: $36.42 - $56.45

The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

• Per Diem Commitment Level: Per Diem Level 1: 32-72 hrs. or Per Diem Level 2: 73-110 hrs. or Per Diem Level 3: 111-144 hrs./ per 6-week schedule
• Required Travel: Local

What you will do

• Perform MRI exams for use by physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illness and/or injury, in accordance with departmental standards, policies and procedures
• Prepare patients for exam: obtain and record history, explain procedures, position patients and ensure their comfort
• Review MRI images to ensure optimum quality
• Assist with patient/family participation in post-procedural care for all age groups and provide resource information, as directed

What you will need

• License: ARRT
• Education: Certification or Associate’s degree in Radiology from an accredited program
• Certification: CPR required
• Experience: Previous MRI Technologist experience required
• Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills required
