Job summary

Aurora Health Care Metro, Inc. in Oklahoma is seeking an MRI Technologist who can operate MR equipment for basic to advanced procedures, including angiography, cardiac, breast, fetal MRI and spectroscopy, with emphasis on safety and accuracy.

You will obtain histories, verify orders, administer contrast under Radiologist, position patients, post-process images, document charges, and collaborate across departments to educate staff and support patients through recovery.

Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond High School in Radiologic Technology.
• Typically requires 2 years of MRI Technologist experience.
• Certifications: CAMRT/ARMRIT/ARRT with BLS within required timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment for basic to advanced diagnostic procedures.
• Obtain patient history, verify orders, and administer contrast under Radiologist.
• Position patients, adjust scanning factors, ensure safety and magnet protection.
• Post-process images and label with patient name, MRU number, and location.
• Enter study data into RIS and document billing codes for charges.
• Identify equipment issues and perform QA tests and calibrations.
• Serve as a resource and educator for staff and students.
• Collaborate with departments to educate on post-procedure care.
• Perform patient positioning and lifting with proper technique.
• Provide age-appropriate care and follow department policies.
