Job summary

Tampa General Hospital seeks an MRI Technologist 2 to perform high-quality MRI procedures and ensure adherence to safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, a 2-year radiologic technology program, and valid Florida State CRT and ARRT certifications. Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited 2-year radiologic technology program.
• Current and valid Florida State License (CRT).
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology necessary for MRI imaging.

Responsibilities

• Administers oral and IV contrast when necessary.
• Verifies that the patient’s exam corresponds to the ordered exam in PACS.
• Processes MRI digital images and examines for technical quality.

Skills

Knowledge of MRI general procedures

Skill in positioning patients

Skill in IVs for administration of contrast materials

Ability to communicate clearly

Knowledge of safety requirements

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Graduate of a 2-year radiologic technology program

Current Florida State License (CRT)

Current ARRT registry MRI or ARMRIT certification
