Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Tampa is seeking an MRI Tech 2 to perform Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures and maintain high standards of diagnostic imaging. The ideal candidate will have a Radiology Technologist License, at least 1 year of experience, and BLS certification. This full-time position offers a competitive salary starting at $32.35 per hour.

Qualifications

• Completion of a 2-year Radiology Technology program from an accredited school or AMRIT program.
• Radiology Technologist License and ARRT/MRI registry eligibility.
• At least 1 year of progressive experience in MRI diagnostic imaging.

Responsibilities

• Perform Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures.
• Conduct basic portable and chest x-rays as needed.
• Maintain Q.A. and sterile contrast studies.

The MRI Tech 2 is responsible for performing Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures that produce high-quality diagnostic images. This role requires independent judgment, technical proficiency, and adherence to hospital policies. Responsibilities include MRI procedures, basic portable, fluoroscopy, extremity and chest x-rays, biopsies, trauma alerts, MRI protocols, neurovascular MRA’s, IV skills, Q.A. maintenance, and sterile contrast studies.

Qualifications include:

• Completion of a 2-year Radiology Technology program from an accredited school or AMRIT program
• Radiology Technologist License
• Registered with ARRT & MRI registry eligible or AMRIT certified
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• At least 1 year of progressive experience in MRI diagnostic imaging

This position is based at the USF Health South Tampa Center, scheduled for full-time days (0800-1630), Monday through Friday. The minimum salary is $32.35 per hour.
