Job summary

Advocate Health in Wilkes County, NC is seeking an MRI Technologist for Wilkes Medical Center. The role requires graduates from ARRT-recognized programs, MRI registry eligibility, and completion of the MRI registry within one year, with BLS certification.

You will perform MRI scans, adhere to safety protocols, and coordinate with radiologists. This full-time, on-site position offers weekend scheduling, a comprehensive benefits package, and a sign-on bonus up to $15,000 per eligibility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• Active enrollment in an MRI ARRT registry eligible or ARMRIT program required.
• MRI registry must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Exams requests and verifies orders for assigned patients.
• Refer and question orders to Radiologist before performing exam.
• Contact ordering provider if discrepancies occur.
• Prepare patients with explanations and assist during procedures.
• Perform MRI scanning and assist during invasive procedures as needed.
• Adhere to radiation safety standards and infection control policies.
