Job summary

Community Health Systems in Indiana (Fort Wayne) seeks an MRI Technologist I to perform routine MRI procedures with a strong emphasis on patient safety and comfort. The role involves operating and maintaining imaging equipment, preparing patients, and ensuring high-quality diagnostic images for radiologist evaluation.

Full-time, Fri/Sat/Sun day shifts with weekend premium eligibility. Qualifications include graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program and 0–2 years of MRI

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program.
• 0-2 years of clinical experience as a registered MRI Technologist required.
• ARRT certification required or eligible and obtained within 12 months of hire.
• ARMRIT certification required or eligible and obtained within 12 months of hire.
• BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures according to physician orders and protocols.
• Review patient histories to identify contraindications.
• Operate MRI and processing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Educate and prepare patients for MRI exams to ensure comfort.
• Maintain MRI safety zones and verify readiness before scans.
• Document clinical history with exam findings for radiologist review.
• Manage MRI supplies and maintain equipment sterility.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists and healthcare team.
