Lutheran Health Network in Fort Wayne is seeking an MRI Technologist I for a full-time role (32 hours/week) on Fri/Sat/Sun day shift, eligible for weekend premium. The position supports diagnostic imaging, adheres to safety standards, and delivers high-quality images for radiologists.

You will operate and maintain MRI equipment, review patient histories for contraindications, educate patients, manage supplies, and collaborate with radiology staff to ensure accurate, timely exams.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program.
• 0–2 years of clinical MRI experience as a technologist.
• ARRT or ARMRIT certification requirements or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures according to orders and protocols, ensuring high-quality images.
• Reviews patient histories to identify contraindications and safety concerns.
• Operates MRI equipment and processing software following safety guidelines.
• Educates patients and prepares them for MRI exams to ensure comfort.
• Maintains MRI safety standards and verifies readiness before scans.
• Documents clinical history and correlates findings for radiologist review.
• Keeps MRI supplies and equipment inventory stocked and sterile.
• Verifies orders and patient ID prior to starting procedures.
• Collaborates with radiologists and healthcare teams to optimize results.
• Monitors equipment function and reports issues promptly.
