As an MRI Technologist, you will perform MRI exams and procedures on patients of all ages while maintaining patient safety. You will join a close-knit, hardworking, and supportive team of caregivers that prioritizes quality patient care.

A caregiver in this position works varying shifts: 8:30am—7:00pm or 10:00am—8:30pm.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and validate the patient screening safety form.
  • Educate patients regarding MRI procedures while ensuring patients’ comfort and safety during and after the exam.
  • Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions with equipment immediately.
  • Collaborate with department leadership to develop and implement methods to achieve established goals and objectives for the department.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and economical operation.
  • Coordinate and answer questions regarding scheduling, networking, informatics, and patient information.
  • Complete and ensure that all electronic data is sent to its appropriate destination. Inspect equipment to ensure proper orientation; contact service if necessary.
  • Provide copies of imaging studies in a timely manner.
  • Perform routine imaging, emergent, invasive, and all special procedures according to the policy/protocol manual and written orders.
  • Maintain adequate supplies in the work area with items necessary to perform the daily schedule.
  • Orient new personnel and assist in their transition to the work environment as assigned.
  • Aid other associates in the department upon completion of duties or as assigned by a supervisor.
Minimum qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or graduate of an accredited institution per the primary pathway of the ARRT.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA).
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) needs to obtain within 12 months of hire.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulatory requirements.
Preferred qualifications
  • 2 years of experience as an Imaging Technologist in an acute care imaging setting.

  • Mental Demands: Ability to work at a fast pace, prioritize multiple assignments/projects, respond to numerous requests, work collaboratively with the healthcare team, maintain operational efficiency, problem solve, and manage stress when dealing with multiple demands.
  • Special Demands: Requires minimal direction in assessing needs, self-starting and self-motivating; working hours may exceed eight hours per day as needed to accomplish work.
  • Requires sitting at a workstation or desk; standing; potential for lifting up to 100 lbs; may involve pushing and pulling and carrying objects.
  • Finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination to operate a computer keyboard at a moderate skill level.
Personal Protective Equipment
  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
Pay range

Minimum hourly: $45.00
Maximum hourly: $45.00

The pay range displayed reflects the anticipated range for new hires. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as work history, experience, skillset, and education. The pay range does not include applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime) or the value of Cleveland Clinic’s benefits package (e.g., healthcare, dental and vision benefits, retirement contributions).
