Job summary

Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System in East Tennessee seeks an experienced MRI Technologist to operate high-field MRI equipment and produce diagnostic-quality images. You will maintain a safe MRI environment and assist radiologists with procedures.

Responsibilities include selecting pulse sequences per protocol, screening patients for safety, administering contrast when needed, coordinating scheduling, educating staff, and staying current with BLS and QA initiatives.

Qualifications

• Educational program accredited by ARRT (R) or ARMRIT (MR) and licensure within one year (Path 1/Path 2) or ARMRIT certification as required.

Responsibilities

• Operates MRI systems and ensures high-quality images.
• Maintains MRI safety zones per ACR guidelines.
• Obtains patient history and consent; educates patients for exams.
• Coordinates scheduling and patient flow; clerical tasks as needed.
• Assists radiologist with MRI procedures and biopsies; ensures timely imaging.
• Maintains infection prevention techniques and aseptic practices.
