Job summary

Tennova Healthcare - North Knoxville Medical Center is seeking an MRI Technologist I to perform routine MRI procedures, prioritize patient safety and comfort, and produce high-quality images for physician evaluation. You will operate and maintain MRI equipment, review patient histories, ensure safety in MRI zones, and collaborate with radiologists and the healthcare team to achieve optimal imaging results.

This role requires ARRT or ARMRIT eligibility and BCLS, with 0-2 years of MRI experience

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program.
• 0-2 years of clinical experience as a registered MRI Technologist.
• ARRT certification or eligibility, ARMRIT eligibility with certification within 12 months of hire, and BCLS required.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images.
• Reviews MRI patient histories and questionnaires to identify contraindications and ensure safety.
• Operates MRI and processing equipment, adhering to safety guidelines and protocols.
• Educates and prepares patients for MRI exams to ensure understanding and comfort.
• Maintains MRI safety zones and verifies patient and staff readiness before scans.
• Collaborates with radiologists and healthcare team to optimize imaging results and patient outcomes.
