Job summary

Luminis Health is seeking an MRI technologist to perform MRI procedures across all ages, in line with departmental standards. You will prepare patients, verify data, and ensure image quality while participating in a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires ARRT certification, CPR/BLS, and the ability to perform all MR examinations, including pediatric and anesthesia-supported cases. This is an on-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a two-year radiological technology program in AMA approved educational institution.
  • Ability to complete initial (or as directed) competency on IV injections.
  • Able to complete all MR examination types including cardiac pacemaker, pediatric and anesthesia supported cases.

Responsibilities

  • Performs MRI procedures on all age groups in accordance with established professional and departmental standards and procedures.
  • Processes MRI scan sequences; verifies demographics and technical information; checks technical quality of films.
  • Participates as a member of a specialized medical team in performing specialized MRI scans of various organs and in preparing patients for specific procedures.
  • Reviews pathology, surgical, and other reports to monitor patient progress and provide a means for evaluating the accuracy of MRI examinations.
  • Assesses patient condition and administers first aid as required; assists physicians in adverse reactions or emergencies.
  • Confers with Supervisor to recommend changes and report problems to improve patient care, quality, and clerical functions.
  • Monitors equipment performance and reports problems to the Manager; records malfunctions as required.
  • Assists in the clinical instruction of technologists and students when needed.
  • Provides care for physically and mentally compromised patients.
  • Prioritizes patients in workflow; proficient in MR sedation cases.
  • Monitors compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory and policy requirements and MRI safety policy and procedures.
  • Performs MRI procedures on all age groups in accordance with established safety and quality standards and the special needs of patients.
