Jobtailor is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures, ensure safety screenings, and coordinate patient care within regulatory standards. You will handle patient data entry, IV access, contrast injections, and i-STAT testing while maintaining confidentiality.
The role requires ARRT MRI and Radiologic Technology registrations, current CPR, and willingness to work at multiple locations as needed. Excellent customer service and independence are essential.
Demonstrate complete knowledge and proficiency in the use of MRI units, radiology-supported computer systems, and CD burners
Perform MRI procedures and quality control according to departmental protocols
Perform MRI safety screenings for patients and research implanted devices before scanning
Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, ACR requirements, state licenses, and Joint Commission regulations
Complete assigned technical imaging and non-imaging procedures within designated scheduled times
Enter accurate patient study information into clinical care systems
Assist with coordinating workflow and patient care activities
Obtain clinical history and appropriate consent
Verify insurance pre-authorization before scanning
Maintain patient confidentiality
Use two patient identifiers at all times
Obtain IV access
Assess patients for adverse reactions or changes in status
Use contrast media injectors
Perform i-STAT testing and accurately calculate GFR according to departmental policies
Demonstrates expertise in MRI procedures, patient safety screenings, and compliance with regulatory standards. Proficient in using radiology-supported systems and maintaining patient confidentiality while delivering excellent customer service.
