Qualifications

• Associates Graduate from Accredited school of Radiologic Technology or MRI accredited program.
• ARRT (MR) Advanced certification in MRI one year after hire if not currently registered.
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.

• Responsible for EMR/PACS navigation and general patient care.

Expected pay for this position is $36.39 - $47.63/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an hourly position.

Position Summary

The MRI Technologist cares for patients while operating equipment to produce high quality images for radiologist interpretation. In addition the MRI Technologist is responsible for EMR/PACS navigation, general patient care, positioning patients, providing procedure information and executing proper imaging protocol/technique for all examinations. Complies with all regulatory requirements in providing safe and appropriate care.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

• Associates Graduate from Accredited school of Radiologic Technology or MRI accredited program. (Have to be ARRT eligible)
• ARRT (MR) Advanced certification in MRI one year after hire if not currently registered.
• BLS certification - American Heart Association
  
  

Other Skills/knowledge

• Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
  
  

License/Certifications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R)) registered.
  
  

Experience

• 2 years radiography experience. 1 year MRI experience.
  
  

Other Requirements/information

Interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with patients who may be under physical and/or emotional stress in order to gather and exchange routine patient information with peers, nursing, radiologist and provider.
