Job summary

UVA Imaging in Charlottesville, VA is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our outpatient imaging team. This full-time role offers a 40-hour week with varied shifts, no call and no overnight shifts, and a supportive environment focused on quality imaging and exceptional patient care.

You will perform routine and advanced MRI exams, screen patients, administer contrast, monitor exams, maintain documentation, and collaborate with radiologists to produce high-quality diagnostic images.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Radiology or MR program completion.
• ARRT/ARMIT certification and state licensure requirements.
• Experience preferred; up to 1 year in MRI preferred.

Requirements

EXPERIENCE:

• Up to 1 year experience as an MRI Technologistpreferred

EDUCATION:

Associate's degree in Radiology or be a graduate of an accredited MR program.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography, or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMIT) and maintain current valid registration from ARRT or ARMIT. MR advanced registry within the first 6 months of employment. Additionally, must meet the state licensure requirement for the state in which they practice.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of routine to complex MRI procedures and protocols.
• Skill in operation of MRI equipment as well as applicable ancillary equipment.
• Ability to work independently and multitask.
• Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.
• Demonstrates understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology.
• Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data.
