Job summary

Covenant Health Morristown is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to perform high-field MRI procedures while maintaining a safe environment. You will operate MRI equipment, select pulse sequences, and ensure high-quality imaging for diagnostic interpretation.

The role emphasizes patient safety, education, and collaboration with radiologists and staff. Experience with ARRT MR certification and related credentials is required or pursued within 1 year.

Qualifications

• Must have ARRT(R) licensure and obtain MR within 1 year.
• Path 2: NMTCB or ARRT(N) with MR within 1 year.
• Path 3: ARDMS in Diagnostic Medical Sonography with MR within 1 year.
• Path 4: ARMRIT certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures under the order of a licensed practitioner.
• Operates high-field MRI systems and pulse sequences per protocol.
• Maintains four MRI safety zones per ACR guidelines.
• Screens patients for safety and provides education to minimize anxiety.
• Coordinates scheduling, patient flow, and clerical tasks; assists radiologists.

Education

ARRT (R) licensure

ARRT (MR) within 1 year

NMTCB or ARRT (N) with MR within 1 year

ARDMS/ARMRIT credentials within 1 year
