Job summary

Universal Health Services in Aiken, SC seeks an MRI Technologist to operate and maintain MRI equipment. Responsibilities include patient instruction, positioning, image acquisition, and QA, with on-call rotation and cross-department collaboration.

Qualified candidates will have an ARRT registration, SC license, and BLS; 2 years in diagnostic radiology and 1 year MRI experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a radiological program or equivalent military training.
• Two years experience in diagnostic radiology in a healthcare facility; one year MRI experience preferred.
• ARRT registered; BLS certificate or obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Current South Carolina license issued by SC Radiation Quality Standards Association.

Responsibilities

• Verifies MRI procedure requests and prepares patients for imaging.
• Instructs patients and positions them for accurate imaging.
• Selects imaging techniques, calibrates equipment, and acquires images.
• Maintains patient data, QA documentation, and safety compliance.
• Performs contrast injections and ensures timely image transfer to PACS.
• Rotates to other imaging departments as needed and participates in on-call rotation.
