Job summary

61st Street Service Corporation provides administrative and clinical support to ColumbiaDoctors, a major Northeast multi-specialty practice. The MRI Technologist will perform MRIs, manage image processing and archiving, and ensure patient care and safety in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities include patient interaction, image quality assessment, contrast administration, equipment upkeep, and optional coverage across multiple sites with flexible scheduling including weekends.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalency.
• Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience.
• NYS License, ARRT certified; MRI Registry eligible.
• New York BLS certified.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, visitors, vendors and staff.
• Perform MRIs and general radiological procedures; review imaging requests with radiologist.
• Position patient and select options for best imaging per MRI standards.
• Observe patient in MRI area and contact radiologist as needed.
• Judge diagnostic quality of images before interpretation.
• Explain diagnostic procedures to patients.
