Job summary

Summit Diagnostic Center Fountain City & Wellington is hiring a full-time MRI Technologist dedicated to high-quality imaging and patient care. The role involves preparing patients, performing MRI scans, and ensuring adherence to radiologist protocols for accurate results.

Ideal candidates have AMA-approved radiologic technology or MRI education, ARRT MRI eligibility or certification, and BLS. Prior MRI experience is preferred, with a strong emphasis on safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology or Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
• Preferably twelve months’ MRI work experience; at least twelve months’ MRI experience preferred.
• Registered or registry eligible in MRI through ARRT within six months.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for MRI scans and uses universal precautions.
• Collects patient history and relates information to radiologist for care planning.
• Checks charts for correct order, contraindications and precautions.
• Positions patients and provides ear protection during MRI exams.
• Performs high-quality MRI scans per radiologist protocols.
• Maintains daily patient logs and assists with monthly statistics and reporting.
• Stores and retrieves MRI images; prepares scan room and maintains supplies.
• Adheres to corporate compliance and confidentiality; participates in site quality improvement.

Education

AMA approved Radiologic Technology or MRI program

12 months MRI experience preferred

ARRT MRI certification or registry eligible within 6 months

BLS certification
