Summit Medical Group's Summit Diagnostic Center Fountain City & Wellington is seeking an MRI Technologist for a full-time role in the Knoxville area. You will prepare patients, perform MRI scans, and ensure safety and quality according to radiologist protocols.

The ideal candidate will have AMA-approved training in radiologic technology or MRI, ARRT MRI eligibility or certification within six months, and typically 12 months of MRI experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology or Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
• Preferably twelve months’ previous work experience in MRI or other advanced modalities.
• Registered, or registry eligible within six (6) months of employment, in MRI through ARRT. Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).

Responsabilités

• Prepares patients for MRI scans. Uses universal precautions on all patients.
• Collects pertinent patient history / information and relates to radiologist, contributing to the plan of care.
• Checks patients’ charts for correct order, contraindication and other precautions.
• Positions patients and provides ear protection during MRI exams.
• Performs MRI scans according to radiologist’s protocols and maintains image quality.
• Maintains daily log of patients and assists with documentation and reporting as requested.
