Job summary

ChristianaCare is hiring a Full-Time MRI Technologist to work at Newark Hospital during the day shift. The role performs MRI procedures, documents patient data in RIS/HIS/Intergy, and ensures high-quality images are sent to PACS. A $7,500 sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates.

Requirements include ARRT registry completion, a 2-year associate degree in Radiology, and 2+ years of MRI experience preferred, with Siemens experience preferred. Equal opportunity employer.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures as defined by departmental protocols.
• Works with RIS, HIS, and Intergy and enters patient data accurately.
• Transfers high-quality images to PACS.
• Obtains and documents adequate patient history.
• Performs QC and digitizes films.
• Provides superior customer service to patients, families, and health care team.
• Follows safety rules and reports unsafe conditions promptly.
• Delivers care appropriate to neonatal to geriatric patients.

ChristianaCare's Imaging Department is currently recruiting for a Full-Time MRI Technologist to work at Newark Hospital during the day shift.

• Performs MRI procedures as defined by departmental protocols
• Performs duties in RIS, HIS, and Intergy computer systems and accurately enter patient data.
• Completes transmission of optimum quality images to PACS system
• Ensures adequate history of patient is obtained and documented
• Performs QC and is able to digitize films
• Provides superior customer service to patients, family members, and all members of the health care team
• Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices; reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.
• Demonstrates skills and knowledge necessary to provide care appropriate to [neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients], including knowledge of growth and development, the ability to obtain and interpret information to identify patient needs, and provide the care needed.

Requirements

• Completion of ARRT registry required. (Successful completion of the MRI Registry exam is a job requirement. A technologist who is recruited and non-certified in MRI will have a grace period of 2 years following hire to pass this exam).
• Completion of a 2 year associates degree program in Radiology.
• 2 years’ experience as an MRI Technologist preferred
• Experience with Siemens products preferred

Hourly Pay Range: $38.98 - $62.38
