Job summary

Virtua Health in Mount Holly is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in MRI to perform high-quality MRI studies and ensure safety standards. The role involves completing exams, venipuncture for contrast, and maintaining strong patient communication.

Schedule includes Day Shift - 12 Hr, 36 weekly hours, with Week 1 and Week 2 variations. New hires are eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus and a one-year commitment, with on-site work and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Previous MRI experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology

Responsibilities

• Consistently performs high quality MRI studies according to protocols established by the Radiologists.
• Films all MRI exams utilizing proper window and level.
• Follows protocol for room set-up, obtains patient assessment form and injection procedures.
• Demonstrates competence to perform venipuncture and follows established protocols for administering contrast medium.
• Verify order and patient identification before performing MRI exam.
• Screen all patients for medical appropriateness of MRI procedure as well as for potential projectiles before entrance into the exam room.
• Patient assessment form must be completed and validated before patient enters MRI room.
• Provide superior customer service to patients and personnel.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with all customers; display high degree of tact and diplomacy.
• Follows appropriate safety guidelines during operation of MRI equipment.
• Adheres to Virtua policies and procedures.

Week 1: Wed, Thurs, Fri - 9:00am to 9:00pm.

Week 2: Thurs, Fri - 9:00am to 9:00pm. Sat - 7:00am to 7:00pm.
Weekend On Call Rotation.
Holiday Rotation.

Summary

Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required

Previous MRI experience preferred.

Required Education

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology

Training/Certifications/Licensure

Certification as either

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registered plus six (6) months supervised experience in MR scanning, OR
• Associate’s/bachelor’s degree in allied health field plus other imaging modality certification plus six (6) months supervised MR scanning, OR
• ARMRIT or CAMRT as a Registered MR Technologist – for employees in the role prior to 8/30/26

MRI board certification preferred

CPR certification required

Hourly Rate: $40.62 - $63.16The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant’s experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
