Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures in a state‑of‑the‑art setting at Mount Holly, NJ. You will operate MR equipment, ensure patient safety, and follow established protocols to deliver high‑quality imaging.

A strong focus on patient communication and teamwork is essential as you support radiologists and staff. The role requires ARRT certification or equivalent, CPR, and MR experience or training; full‑time daytime schedule with competitive benefits.

Work Schedule

Week 1: Wed, Thurs, Fri - 9:00am to 9:00pm. Week 2: Thurs, Fri - 9:00am to 9:00pm. Sat - 7:00am to 7:00pm. Weekend On Call Rotation. Holiday Rotation.

Summary

Performs MRI procedures in accordance with approved techniques and standards. Operates MRI equipment in a safe and responsible manner, following appropriate safety guidelines.

Position Responsibilities

• Consistently performs high quality MRI studies according to protocols established by the Radiologists. Films all MRI exams utilizing proper window and level. Follows protocol for room set‑up, obtains patient assessment form and injection procedures. Demonstrates competence to perform venipuncture and follows established protocols for administering contrast medium.
• Verify order and patient identification before performing MRI exam. Screen all patients for medical appropriateness of MRI procedure as well as for potential projectiles before entrance into the exam room. Patient assessment form must be completed and validated before patient enters MRI room.
• Provide superior customer service to patients and personnel. Must be able to effectively communicate with all customers; display high degree of tact and diplomacy and maintain supportive relationships.
• Follows appropriate safety guidelines during operation of MRI equipment. Adheres to Virtua policies and procedures.

Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required

Previous MRI experience preferred.

Required Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology Training/Certifications/Licensure: Certification as either American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registered plus six (6) months supervised experience in MR scanning, OR Associate’s/bachelor’s degree in allied health field plus other imaging modality certification plus six (6) months supervised MR scanning, OR ARMRIT or CAMRT as a Registered MR Technologist – for employees in the role prior to 8/30/26 MRI board certification preferred CPR certification required.

Hourly Rate

$40.62 - $63.16 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant’s experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
