Job summary

AdventHealth in TavARES, FL is seeking an MRI Technologist to ensure exam rooms are ready, prepare patients for MRI procedures, and administer IV contrast with safety. The role requires knowledge of MRI scanners, safety protocols, and clear patient communication.

The position emphasizes teamwork, adherence to imaging standards, and flexibility to handle shifting workloads, including night shifts. Previous MRI experience and ARRT/ARRT or ARMRIT credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred, High School diploma required
• BLS certification may be required per unit/state
• ARRT MRI certification or ARMRIT preferred/required
• Experience with MRI safety and contrast administration

Job Description:

• Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.
• Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low.
• Educates patients and family members about MRI procedures, contrast use, and safety precautions, promoting comfort and cooperation throughout the exam.
• Positions patients accurately and comfortably using appropriate immobilization and coil placement techniques to ensure high-quality imaging.
• Prepares and administers IV contrast material following safety guidelines and monitors patients for adverse reactions.
