Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is hiring Full-time MRI Technologist Floats to join the RAYUS Indy team. Work across outpatient centers including Fishers, Noblesville, Greenwood, Carmel, and Indianapolis East/NW; home base negotiable in the Indy Metro area with a preference for the north side.

Roles include float and shift differential on top of base pay. Essential duties cover patient imaging, imaging support, and other clinical tasks.

Qualifications

• ARRT registered technologist in good standing.
• Graduate of AMA approved school of radiography.
• MR certification is required.
• CPR certification is required.
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in the applicable state, if required.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures with minimal supervision.
• Screens patients for precautions or contraindications.
• Prepares patients and positions them for MR procedures; communicates with patients.
• Adjusts scan parameters as needed and maintains patient records in RIS.
• Maintains equipment and clean work area; assists with protocol manuals and software upgrades.
• Mentors new associates and supports team training.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

We are growing our team! We are hiring Full-time, MRI Technologist Floats to jointheRAYUSIndy team! This role provides you the opportunity to work various shifts with multiple teams in different locations. Our outpatient centers include Fishers, Noblesville, Greenwood, Carmel, and Indianapolis East/NW. Home base is negotiable in the Indy Metro area but north side preferred. We offer great benefits, work-life balance, and further growth opportunity. Additionally, these roles will be eligible for float & shift differential on top of your base rate of pay!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(75%) Patient Imaging

• Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats
• Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contraindications pertaining to the examination
• Prepares patients for MR procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, position patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned, and providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
• Adjusts scan parameters correctly and as needed
• Maintains positive attitude and working relationships with radiologist, referring customers and other associates and peers
• Converses with doctors, nurses, patients and family members as required
• Follows physicians' orders precisely and conforms to safety regulations to protect themselves, their patients, and coworkers
• Accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
• Maintains an orderly and clean work area promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers

(20%) Imaging Support

• Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use
• Assists with maintaining an updated MRI protocol manual and software upgrades
• Monitors medical supply inventory
• Assists with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise

(5%) Performs other duties as assigned

Required:

• ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
• Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
• Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform MR and/or radiographic procedures independently
• MR certification
• Valid driver's license and proof of current insurance

Preferred:

• Bilingual
