Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Float MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI scans across multiple sites and collaborate with diverse care teams. The role offers a part-time schedule with 20-29 hours per week and shifts from 6:30am to 10:30pm, including Saturday rotations, with training available in MRI.

Applicants should be a graduate of an AMA-approved radiography program, ARRT/ARMRIT registered, licensed where applicable, CPR certified, and capable of independently performing MRI

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an AMA approved school of radiography.
• ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing.
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in appropriate state, if applicable.
• Current CPR certification.
• Must be able to perform MRI procedures independently.
• Certification in imaging specialty.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients prior to examinations.
• Explain MRI procedures and position patients for scanning.
• Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures across body regions.
• Adjust MRI scan parameters as needed.
• Follow physicians' orders, maintain RIS records.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and properly disinfect equipment.
• Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
• Assist with imaging protocol manuals and software upgrades.
• Monitor inventory and assist in training new team members.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Float MRI Technologist to join our team. As a Float MRI Technologist, you'll perform high-quality MRI scans across multiple sites, gaining experience with a variety of MRI scanners while partnering with diverse care teams. This is a part-time position working 20-29 hours/week working a variety of shifts between the hours of 6:30am-10:30pm, includes Saturday rotation.

Willing to train in MRI.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• 1. Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure
• 2. Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned
• 3. Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeated scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
• 4. Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed
• 5. Follows physicians’ orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
• 6. Maintains an orderly and clean work area including sanitized equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and team members
• 7. Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use
• 8. Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements
• (5%) MRI Department Support 1. Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
• 2. Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
• 3. Assists in the training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable
• (5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Required:

• 1. High School diploma, or equivalent
• 2. Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
• 3. ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on State regulations and business need
• 4. Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
• 5. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
• 6. Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently
• 7. Certification in imaging specialty

Preferred:

• 1. Bilingual
