Job summary

Salem Health is seeking an MRI technologist at West Valley Hospital in Dallas, Oregon. You’ll operate Siemens MRI equipment, deliver high‑quality diagnostic imaging, and collaborate with radiologists, providers, nurses, and imaging professionals to ensure safe, compassionate patient care.

Our 25‑member imaging team values professionalism and continuous learning; with 13–14 exams daily and no on‑call requirements, you’ll have time for meaningful patient interaction while contributing to a growing

Qualifications

Credentialed in radiography (ARRT)
MRI certification by ARRT or AMRIT in MRI
Licensed in radiography by Oregon OBMI

Responsibilities

Operate MRI equipment and perform routine care, cleaning, and maintenance.
Utilize RIS, PACS, and EPIC to manage patient history, imaging workflow, orders, and charges.
Perform MRI exams according to established protocols and adapt techniques as needed.
Optimize imaging parameters for high-quality images and efficient scan times.
Review exam completeness and obtain additional images or history as needed.
Complete detailed exam documentation with patient history and technical factors.
Adhere to MRI safety protocols (ALARA) and department guidelines.
Support medication reconciliation and maintain competency with Omnicell systems.
Provide age-appropriate, compassionate care across patient populations.
Contribute to a safe, organized imaging department and assist with additional duties.
