Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI examinations across neonatal to geriatric patients using 3T, mobile, and upright scanners. You will work with protocol support and system MRSO, maintaining patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include safe operation, accurate imaging, patient education, documentation, and collaboration with radiologists and nurses.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• ARRT (R) registry required; ARMRIT within 1 year if not current.
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required.
• 0–2 years modality experience; 1 year X-Ray experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI examinations on patients of all ages.
• Operate MRI equipment safely to obtain diagnostic-quality images.
• Utilize MRI resources and protocols to ensure timely imaging.
• Prepare, position, and educate patients for MRI procedures.
• Adhere to safety standards and MRI-specific protocols.
• Monitor patients and respond to needs during exams.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and nurses.
• Ensure care, maintenance, and QC of MRI equipment and work areas.
• Perform additional duties to support department operations.
