Job summary

Akumin is hiring an MRI Technologist for a full-time position at our Michigan location. The MRI Technologist will explain procedures, ensure patient comfort and safety, and deliver high-quality diagnostic images.

Requirements include ARRT/NMTCB/ARDMS registration, state license as required, CPR, and a valid driver’s license. Associate degree or equivalent experience is preferred; registry in MRI is a plus. Benefits and opportunities are provided by Akumin.

Qualifications

• Must be ARRT/NMTCB/ARDMS registered and state licensed.
• CPR certification and valid driver’s license required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Experience training other technologists is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety through pre-screening and aseptic technique.
• Produce high quality diagnostic MRI images.
• Orders supplies, cleans unit, assist in preparing for transport.
• Communicate effectively with patients and radiologists.
• Train new technologists and PCs.
