Job summary

Akumin Michigan is hiring an MRI Technologist for a full-time on-site role. The position emphasizes patient safety, image quality, and clear communication with patients and radiologists.

You will perform pre-screening, operate MRI equipment, prepare patients, and maintain cleanliness and supplies while ensuring comfort and safety. Qualifications include ARRT/NMTCB/ARDMS certification as required, a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR, and a valid state license.

• ARRT/NMTCB/ARDMS certification as required.
• CPR certification.
• Active state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique, etc.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images.
• Orders supplies, cleans unit, assist in preparing for transport on a daily basis.
• Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.

We are currently hiring for an MRI Technologist at our Michigan Location. This will be a full-time position.

Our MRI technologists use exceptional communication skills to connect with patients, explain the procedure and put them at ease. With a caring attitude and keen attention to detail, they ensure patient comfort, safety and satisfaction every step of the way.

Duties

• Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique, etc.

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
• Registered Technologists by the ARRT, NMTCB or ARDMS State License, as required.
• Technologists performing mid-day moves CPR certification.
• Active state driver’s license.

Preferred Requirements

• Associate's Degree or Equivalent Experience Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.
