Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Florence, Kentucky seeks an MRI Technologist to independently perform MRI procedures ordered by physicians, ensuring safety and producing high-quality diagnostic images.

You will monitor patient safety, manage contrast injections, complete consent forms, document data, and comply with HIPAA and infection control guidelines while maintaining equipment and room cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification.
• Graduate of an approved accredited program in Radiologic Technology or Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
• Registered by the ARRT (MR) or the American Registry of MRI Technologists (ARMRIT).
• Complete ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT (MR) within 27 months of job assignment.
• Complete MR competency checklist within first 90 days of job assignment.
• Complete ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT (MR) certification within 2 years of competency checklist completion.
• State licensure not required by Kentucky or Indiana for this non-radiation producing position.

Responsibilities

• Performs all technical aspects of ordered MRI procedures to provide diagnostic images for radiologists.
• Oversees patient safety, operator safety, and visitor safety during procedures.
• Administers contrast safely and correctly and monitors adverse reactions.
• Maintains infection control and cleans room and equipment.
• Documents patient data and ensures proper charging and coding of procedures.
• Uses computer systems in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
