Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta in Augusta, GA, is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join the imaging team. You will perform MRI exams per protocol on a variety of body parts, greet patients, assist with gowns, and complete exam documentation with attention to safety and accuracy.

You will verify orders, manage IVs where needed, administer contrast, and coordinate patient transport to ensure smooth workflow. ARRT MR certification and 2+ years MRI experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiography program is required.
• RT and MR certification from ARRT is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of Radiology Tech experience and 2 years MRI experience is highly preferred.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• MRI must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
• Cardiovascular Technologist (CV Tech), or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT), or Registered Radiographer (ARRT

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI exams as per protocol on a variety of body parts in an efficient manner.
• Complete pre-exam screening, greet patients and assist with gowns, forms and exam sheets.
• Verify and follow doctor’s orders, start/remove IVs and administer contrast media when needed.
• Transport patients, move them on/off tables and maintain workflow with team communication.
