Job summary

Carolinas Medical Center is seeking an MRI Technologist I to perform MRI procedures per department protocols. You will operate MRI equipment, prepare patients, and document in medical records with attention to safety and accuracy.

Responsibilities include verifying orders, coordinating with Radiologists, and assisting in contrast administration while maintaining high standards of patient care and radiologic safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• MRI registry must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operates MRI scanners and associated equipment per protocols.
• Verify orders with Radiologist and contact provider on discrepancies.
• Interviews patients and obtains medical history; documents in EMR.
• Performs IV contrast administration per protocol; records type and amount.
