University of Michigan Health-Sparrow is seeking a certified MRI Technologist to obtain high-quality MRI images and provide precise exam descriptions to radiologists. Responsibilities include training students, communicating with physicians, and ensuring patient safety and protocol adherence.

The role requires ARRT MRI certification, an associate degree in Radiologic Technology, and strong computer and documentation skills.

Formación

• ARRT registered with MRI Certification.
• Good communication skills and accurate writing.
• Understands and abides by magnet safety protocols.
• Able to send images to PACS.
• Able to scan patient documentation into PACS.
• Able to place orders through Epic.

Responsabilidades

• Obtain quality diagnostic MRI images and provide a written description to radiologists.
• Train students and new associates in coordination with program director.
• Maintain communication with physicians, radiologists, and staff.
• Explain MRI procedure to patients and answer questions; obtain IV contrast as needed.
• Enter patient data and scan parameters; ensure proper exam and positioning.
