Job summary

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is seeking a dedicated MRI Technologist for the full-time evening shift, Tuesday–Friday 10:00am-8:30pm. This role includes a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance eligible, and offers the opportunity to work in a market-leading healthcare system.

As part of Inova, you will contribute to high quality patient care, maintain MRI equipment, and collaborate with radiologists and technologists in a busy, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiography or nuclear medicine program with MRI training; MRI Registry eligible.
• Licensure: ARRT, ARMRIT, CAMRT; CNMT acceptable; MRI certification required within 12 months.
• Experience: hospital or healthcare MRI or diagnostic radiologic technologist preferred; recent Inova Health System student.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to obtain history and explain procedures to ease anxiety.
• Assist physician with examinations using standard protocols and sterile technique.
• Utilize knowledge of IVs, heparin locks, and central line usage as they pertain to MRI.
• Demonstrate patient safety in department and report any adverse conditions.
• Perform routine maintenance of imagers/processors to maintain image quality.
