Job summary

Valley Health System seeks an experienced MRI Technologist to operate the MRI scanner and prepare patients per physician orders. The role requires verifying patient identity, selecting the correct worklist, and ensuring scans are archived in PACS and completed in RIS.

Ideal candidates will have ARRT MRI certification, NJ license, CPR certification, and at least two years of MRI experience, demonstrating strong communication and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Completion from an accredited Radiology Technology program.
• Owned ARRT MRI certification and NJ license.
• Current CPR certification and ability to perform MRI exams safely.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and operate the MRI scanner per physician orders.
• Review MRI safety checklist and verify patient ID before scan.
• Select patient from worklist and ensure exam is archived in PACS.
• Complete exam in RIS and maintain orderly facilities.
• Keep abreast of new MRI procedures.
