The role emphasizes safety, precision, and collaboration with radiologists to ensure optimal diagnostic outcomes. In this position you will operate MRI equipment, perform safety checks, interview patients for history and implants, verify patient identity with two identifiers, and report findings while ensuring supplies are stocked and equipment

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an approved Radiologic Technology, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy, or Sonography program.
• ARRT (R) or ARMRIT (MRI) registration within one year of employment.
• Preferred minimum of one year MRI experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from recognized organizations.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment, follow safety protocols, and ensure proper functioning of imaging devices.
• Interview patients to gather medical history, safety/implant information, and explain procedures.
• Identify patients using two identifiers, monitor safety, and address safety concerns with radiologists.

Role: MRI Technologist responsible for producing high-quality MRI images and delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Duties

• Operate MRI equipment, follow safety protocols, and ensure proper functioning of all imaging devices.
• Interpret and validate images using HIS, RIS, and PACS systems, while organizing patient information and reports.
• Interview patients to gather medical history, safety/implant information, and explain procedures.
• Identify patients using two identifiers, monitor safety, and address any safety concerns with radiologists.
• Recognize normal and abnormal images, report findings, and maintain proper stock of supplies.
• Assist with patient preparations, including IV starts, escorting patients, and observing reactions.
