Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved Radiologic Technology, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy, or Sonography program.
• ARRT (R) or ARMRIT (MRI) registration within one year of employment.
• Preferred minimum of one year MRI experience.

Responsibilities

• Producing high-quality MRI images by applying knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and MRI protocols.
• Managing HIS, RIS, and PACS systems for ordering, monitoring, validating images, and completing studies.
• Organizing patient information, reports, and images for accurate interpretation.
• Interviewing patients to gather medical history, explaining procedures, and ensuring safety, including MRI safety/implant history.
• Following MRI safety protocols and demonstrating proficiency with power injector systems.
• Verifying patient identity using two identifiers and providing compassionate patient care tailored to different age groups.
• Monitoring and maintaining equipment, reporting malfunctions promptly.
• Recognizing normal and abnormal images, reporting findings, and assisting with supplies, IV starts, and patient escorting.
• Observing, recording, and reporting patient reactions to treatments or drugs.
