Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency, LLC seeks an experienced MRI technologist to perform scans under physician supervision while delivering compassionate patient care. You will ensure MRI safety, select appropriate parameters with radiologists, identify and prepare patients, and manage contrast administration as part of diagnostic workflows.

This full-time role requires good manual dexterity, clear communication, and the ability to operate complex MRI equipment.

Qualifications

• ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification, or ARRT(R) with 1+ year MRI experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• IV competency within 30 days of hire.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in MRI or Radiologic Science.

Responsibilities

• Maintain MRI safety protocols for patients, staff and equipment.
• Select scanning parameters in coordination with radiologists to obtain high-quality images.
• Identify patients, prepare them for exams, and perform procedures per protocols.
• Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy and position patients accurately.
• Administer contrast agents and medications as directed by clinicians.
• Maintain documentation, billing, and EMR workflow compliance.

Role Overview: The MRI technologist provides compassionate patient care while performing MRI examinations under physician supervision to support accurate medical diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure MRI safety protocols are diligently followed for patients, staff, and equipment.
• Select appropriate scanning parameters in coordination with radiologists to obtain high-quality images.
• Properly identify patients, prepare them for exams, and perform procedures according to standard protocols.
• Demonstrate knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and position patients accurately.
• Administer contrast agents and medications as directed by clinicians.
• Maintain competency in clinical and technical functions, adhering to policies for documentation, billing, and EMR workflows.

Qualifications & Skills:

• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification, or ARRT(R) with at least 1 year MRI experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• IV competency within 30 days of hire.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in MRI or Radiologic Science.
• Strong manual dexterity, safe patient handling, effective communication, and ability to operate complex equipment.

Additional Information:

The role requires physical activity including lifting, standing, walking, and maneuvering equipment. The position is full-time, with scheduled hours on weekends. The hourly pay range is $39.16 – $60.42, based on experience.
