Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking an MRI Technologist (Harmonized) for Anderson Hospital. The role entails daily MRI modality operations under Radiologist direction, training new staff, and ensuring protocol compliance.

The candidate will perform imaging procedures, manage patient safety, and contribute to education of students and staff. Responsibilities include patient positioning, contrast administration, QA, and interdepartmental collaboration.

Qualifications

• ARRT MRI registry (required) or ARMRIT; state licensure preferred
• BLS from American Heart Association required at hire for certain Mercy locations
• 1 year MRI department experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Operates MRI system and coils to acquire diagnostic images
• Maintains safety protocols to minimize patient and staff risk
• Supervises and trains MRI students and new staff
• Performs quality assurance and ensures equipment readiness
• Educates patients about exams and contrast administration
• Coordinates with radiologists and other departments
• Maintains patient records and history
• Ensures patient safety and comfort during procedures
• Assists with performance improvement projects
