Job summary

Citizens Medical Center in Victoria, TX is seeking a mid-level MRI technologist to perform MRI procedures under direction. This role requires graduation from a Radiology Technology or MRI program and active ARRT/ARMRIT licensure with Texas MB and BLS.

You will rotate on-call, maintain a clean work area, and participate in ongoing staff education while providing compassionate patient care and contributing to student education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a program of Radiology Technology and/or MRI
• Clinical knowledge needed to perform MRI procedures
• Interpersonal skills necessary to engage with physicians, providers, patients, coworkers, and visitors
• Current license with ARRT or ARMRIT
• Current license with the Texas Medical Board
• Current BLS from AHA

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures under supervision of radiologist or Radiology Director
• Rotates on-call with other radiographers
• Attends area seminars/workshops to stay current
• Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of the work area
• Reports equipment malfunctions to supervisor
• Contributes to radiography students’ education
• Applies age-specific needs in patient care

JOB SUMMARY

This mid-level position with certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), under the direction of a radiologist and / or the Director of Radiology, performs MRI procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical details. Applies age-specific needs in the assessment, treatment or care of patients.

Job Specific:

• Assumes responsibility for designated area of work and procedures as required for routine or special assignments. (EF)
• Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of assigned work area. (EF)
• Secures and stocks supplies as appropriately needed. (EF)
• Rotates "on-call" with other radiographers. (EF)
• Attends area seminars and related workshops needed to keep abreast of advances in procedures or techniques in the work field.
• Attends all in-service or orientation programs as scheduled.
• Reports all equipment malfunctions or failures to supervisor. (EF)
• Contributes to the Radiography students’ education in a positive way. (EF)
• Applies age-specific needs in the assessment, treatment or care of patients.
• Patient Care Services assigned members of Stroke Team are responsible to attend quarterly meetings and to comply with eight (8) hours of stroke education yearly.

Hospital:
