Job description

Responsibilities

The MRI Technologist utilizes imaging, computer, and other equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images that meet or exceed department, organizational, and industry standards. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and image quality. Prepares patients for procedures, educates, and responds to questions or concerns. Uses an age-appropriate approach to communication, safety, patient education, and principles of physical and functional growth and development. Understands patient positioning, imaging techniques, radiation safety, equipment operation, infection control, and quality control. Oversees and trains students providing patient care, treatment, and services as part of their training.

Qualifications

Required:

• RO (State Radiography License) and one of: ARRT-R, ARRT-N, or CNMT AND must obtain one of: ARRT-MR or AMRIT within 1 year of hire

• OR

• ROT (Temp State Radiography License) AND must obtain one of: ARRT-R, ARRT-N, or CNMT prior to ROT expiration AND must obtain one of: ARRT-MR or ARMRIT within 1 year of hire

• OR

• one of: RDMS or ARRT-S AND must obtain one of: ARRT-MR or ARMRIT within 1 year of hire

• one of: ARRT-MR OR ARMRIT
