Job description

In this position, you'll work Thursday to Saturday, 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. (call shift only). The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing complex and technical imaging and general radiology procedures. The role adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on patient contact level. INTEGRIS Health is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.

Qualifications
  • Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Current certification by ARRT or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging certification by ARRT required within 12 months of hire
  • Current CPR certification required within 90 days of hire
  • Effective communication skills in English (verbal and written)
Responsibilities

The MRI Technologist's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Performing all body imaging and diagnostic procedures involved in MRI.
  • Assisting with/equipment calibration and quality control procedures promptly.
  • Positioning/transferring patients safely, considering their physical requirements.
  • Assisting radiologists with in-depth procedures.
  • Explaining procedures to patients and answering questions.
  • Providing radiology support across all imaging modalities.
  • Administering radiographic contrast as per physician request and departmental policies.
  • Preparing for IV insertions, including IV prep, insertion, and positioning, ensuring proper aseptic technique.
  • Reporting to the Lead CT/MRI Technologist or Operations Manager/Director.
  • Physical demand and respiratory fit test requirements may vary; consult the Physical Demands Project SharePoint or Risk Management/Employee Health for details.
  • This role involves moderate exposure to hazards, including potential contact with infections, blood, body fluids, radiation, electrical equipment, chemicals, and risk of needle sticks and lifting injuries.

  • Work environment includes constant interruptions, noise, odors, and chemicals.
