Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Michigan is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform a variety of imaging procedures under general supervision. You will operate and maintain imaging equipment, position patients, and capture images as requested by physicians.

You will complete quality assurance steps, follow radiation safety practices to minimize exposure, and ensure timely communication of results to the on-duty physician. A high school diploma and ARRT certification are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Graduation from an AMA-approved school of radiology technology.
• Certification in general radiologic technology by ARRT.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Associate degree in radiology is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gives straightforward explanations and instructions to foster comfort and confidence for patients.
• Operates and maintains all imaging department equipment including x-ray.
• Positions patients and uses radiologic equipment to capture images requested by a physician.
• Performs imaging exams accurately per policies and notifies the physician on duty of results.
• Completes quality assurance and applies radiation safety to reduce exposure.
