Job summary

The position requires AMA-approved radiology training, ARRT MRI certification, and BLS. Schedule is full-time with on-site responsibilities in a clinical radiology setting.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an AMA-approved school of radiology technology.
  • Advanced ARRT Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
  • Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Specializes in performing routine and complex MRI procedures.
  • Obtains patient history, explains procedures and addresses concerns to comfort patients.
  • Operates and maintains all assigned MRI equipment.
  • Positions patients and uses equipment to capture physician-requested images.
  • Identifies, prepares and/or administers medications within scope of practice.
  • Performs QA and radiation safety to reduce exposure.
  • Maintains documentation and records in paper and electronic formats.
  • Ensures adequate supplies for testing and testing readiness.
  • Performs routine maintenance and checks per protocol.
  • May assist other radiology areas as assigned.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
