Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT R.T.(R) or R.T.(S)(ARRT) or R.T.(N) credential pathways in good standing or CNMT.
• MRI Certification: R.T.(MR)(ARRT) required within one year of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and related pathologic processes.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and review patient questionnaire, chart and data to determine contraindication for MRI.
• Perform MRI procedures per protocol and conduct daily QA.
• Educate patients regarding MRI procedures, equipment and exams.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the exam.
• Report malfunctions and observe equipment dysfunctions; request service as needed.
• Maintain high equipment up-time for patient access.
• Process billing via RIS.
• Instruct and mentor new hires and Radiology students.
• Attend in-service programs and clinical affiliations.
